Alright.. lets see if anyone else has had this problem before. Sometimes the eclipse will start perfectly fine, but other times it take it about 5 seconds of cranking to get it started. When it really wants to be a bitch, it will take a couple of 5 sec tries to get it started. When the car starts it runs fine. It does not stall, miss, or give any other kind of problem.
As far as the basics. The plugs are brand new and the wires are fairly new (10000 mi old). I have an MSD coil on it that was put on the car the same time the wires which so happens to be when the new motor was fired up.
The fuel pressure guage reads between 55-60 lbs while cranking which is where it is while it is running. So there is definitely not a fuel problem in any way. In fact it is still running a tad lean with the SAFC set in the + range (can't remember exactly where at each interval). It's not too lean though.. it has a little brown on the porclean but the arch of the plugs are still a little chalky white. I need to get it somewhere that can help me get the mixture nailed before I can even use the nitrous.
I found the numbers to check the resistance on the ignition coil and I'm about to go check it as soon as I post this. Is there any way to test the cam and crank position sensors? I can't seem to find any numbers at which they should be. Chiltons doesn't have the numbers and I have scanned through the online shop manuals on this site and couldn't find any there either.
BTW this damn thing throws so many damn codes that I pulled the check engine light bulb. This is due partially to my car being swapped from a auto to a manual and the ECU was swapped too. So the codes were all from the cruise not being hooked up and other small things like that. So in other words.. I dont' have any codes. But I have all day tomorrow to check the sensors if I can just get what ranges they should be in. ********************************** Current Mods: AEM V2 intake, MP 60mm TB, Accel 24lb injectors, Crane #12 cams,Ross forged 10:1 pistons, Eagle H-beam rods, ARP head and main studs, Ported and polished head, Crane valve springs, PT rockers and lifters, MSD coil, Accel wires, AFX underdrive pulley, DC sports ceramic coated header, Ebay testpipe, Apex-i N1 catback, 255 lph fuel pump, Apex-i SAFC, Spec Stage III clutch, Phantom Grip, full Energy Suspension polyurethane bushing kit, Tokico springs and blue shocks, Russell steel braided clutch and brake lines, 17" Koning Imagines, NOS 100 hp direct port N20 kit
