still having stalling/running/rev limit problems with my 95 rs
it idles now, but its rough and at about 4-500rpm
if i unplug the TPS the cars dies immedieately if i unplug the IAC nothing happens and it runs the same
when i ran the codes i got 24 for the TPS, but it seems to be ok hence the car dies when i unplug it
i also get the 14 code for the MAP sensor, but i just put a brand new one in-on the pcm code guide it says this could be due to a bad VC1 but i have no idea where that is. My IAC seems not to be working properly but i'm not getting any codes for it. any thoughts?
also when i checked the codes i got the 24 code first then the 14 and then the 24 again...idk if that means anything

Get a more specific description of all of your codes. The ECU doesn't just spit out a TPS code; it will say "TPS too low", "TPS too high", etc. The TPS and MAP share a common power supply. That is probably what your guide means by VC1. The output of both sensor types are dependent on their supply voltage. If the supply is high or low, it will make the output high or low. If you have problems with anything beyond idle, it is likely not your IAC. If you have rev limit problems, it is likely not your IAC. The IAC just lets a little air into the intake manifold (like cracking the throttle open). The IAC's contribution to the air flow at full throttle is like a fart in a windstorm.

i just did the key dance, so i don't know if it was high or low. i still have one more vacuum leak to fix, so i'm guessing that is what is causing the map sensore issue? i'm more wondering why i'm not getting a code for the IAC. sorry for the poor description, i'm still a newbie when it comes to electrical stuff.

You don't need one. You're OBD2 compliant and can be read with an OBD2 scanner.

Those are the connectors under the dash. Even though the 1995 control system is only up to OBD1 standards, it can communicate with OBD2 readers through its OBD2 connector.

i pulled the iac out last night and cleaned it and the throttle body. is the whole plunger assembly supposed to move or just the sleeve beloe the cone tip? also, after i did the job the car idles worse and when i rev it over 2000rpm the idle jumps to 4000 and stays there until i put it in gear and start to drive, at which point it drops. i also unplugged the battery while the car was running and it stalled which i thought meant my alternator was shot, but when i plugged it back in with the key on i could hear some kind of motor in my t.b. turning on. still not sure what to do and i haven't had a chance to get it scanned.
