here goes.. i just put in my new TB and everything was great. i test drove it, and the part worked out great. we get back and my friend decideds that he was to practice double clutching with the car in park. i get back into it and start up the car. when i step on the clutch, there is ALOT of resistence. the car starts and everything, but now its like the clutch is permanently down, which is odd because the pedal isnt down. it has full range, but has alot of resistence when it gets to the bottom. i CANT get into gears. its basically stuck in neutral. i can however (w/o stepping on the clutch) shift between gears. HELP!!!!!! whats going on with my car? is there anything that would affect the clutch by replacing the TB? or is it because my friend was playing "stomp on my clutch" for a couple minutes.. i need help, because this is my daily driver. i need yall rite now, help a fellow brother out.

open your center console, or take it off, and see if anything looks out of place. that will provide more info as to if your shifter cables are off.

i dont know much, but u should hit your buddy reeeaaally hard in the arm for fuggin around w/your clutch.

i dunno bout that, but tell me bout your t/b. i just fired my baby up after installin it, and she was hissin from the intake with the hood open. did u experience anything like that? at first i thought i had to tighten a bolt at the t/b, but the hiss came from the filter (the center part of it where it dips in). no cel either. i only ran her for 10 minutes. i gotta get alignment tomorrow

well, i found out what was wrong with my clutch. after my idiot friend decided to play smashy-smashy with my clutch. i finally noticed that the pedal was not fully up when engaged, so the gears couldnt catch. i yank on the pedal for a while, and i heard a click.. after that everything was fine. should i be worried about further trouble due to this mis-use?

as for the tb, it was a great mod. probably the best one that i have done so far (e/i/h). the response was so much better and the low end improved dramatically. for the hissing on your car, not sure b/c i it sounded the same from idle maybe a little louder. due to the fact that the tb is letting in more air, maybe it is transfering air a bit faster? i know its still NA, but with the wider port, its taking in more air. is it loud? in idle? how does it drive? ill try and help the most i can.
