I have a 99 Eclipse GS, will that be a good exhaust? The Greddy exhaust has 2.4'' piping is that good? And is the exhaust loud?

What about the Greddy SP anyone got that on their DSM and like it? Is 2 inch piping bad for a non-turbo? Would you rather have 2.4 or 2.0 piping?

Aluminumized is just mild steel with a thin aluminum coating on the outside. The aluminum prevents the atmosphere from attacking the steel. It'll prevent rust for a good while. After the aluminum disappears, it'll rust like everyday steel. If you are buying an exhaust, get the 2.4". The 2" would end up having an internal diameter less than the stock pipe...that would be a big waste.

How long does the aluminum last? Is it a good investment

I have the Greddy SP. I like it but could do without the huge tip. Its been good to me so far. Even though right now the canister is dirty as hell due to the snow and salt, it will shine up like new when I choose to clean it up. I chose the SP cause I think it looks a little more clean than the EVO....I am into the "clean" look as I hope you can tell emoji

Is your exhaust loud Logic 3? Do you have the full cat-back exhaust from greddy?

Loud? Hmmm...I wouldn't say LOUD but it has a disinct sound(kind of a growl). I really like how it sounds. At low RMP's its sounds nice and quite but when I fire on it, it turns heads...Which I perfer. I see it as an investment. Its a good size for nitrous or a stage 2 turbo kit.

I have the full cat-back. In my opinion the aluminized piping is a plus. Its nice for me since we do get snow here in KY and the salt I belive would take its toll on standard steel piping.

Is it worth the $500 I spent on it? Maybe not but I wouldn't trade it in for any other exhaust on the market right now. I really like it.

I help out with a formula SAE team. We had the header for our car coated on the inside with ceramic, and onthe outside it was aluminized. The aluminized coating has lasted for a year now with no problems. It hasn't rusted, peeled off, or anything. So it should be good for at least a year, most likely longer

and the aluminized coating looks really good too

If I get the greddy EVO full catback will I loose low end power? Ive been hearing that the stock piping is fine, and I should just get a muffler. What size is the stock piping?

Stock piping is 2.25" outer diameter, so the inner diameter is smaller than that. But since a gst with 210 hp stock uses the exact same piping (except we have one less resonator), it should be fine unless you do some major mods.

Actually our piping is 2" I measured when I put on the GS-T muffler.

Really? 2" inner or outer diameter? Seems like most people say 2 1/4, and so do the exhaust shops I went to.

Cool, where do you get exhaust paint at, and what kind did you get? How many degrees does it need to withstand?

You and Micheal are both right. Its about 2.25 OD and 1.875" ID. It is really thick pipe. Regular aftermarket steel pipe has thinner walls, so their 2.25" OD pipe will have a larger ID.
