I am having trouble getting my car to start and run,, it cranks over just fine, but will not fire, I sprayed some starting fluid in the throttle body, and it would cough a little bit but not fire, I can hear the fuel pump prime when I turn the key, but when I pressed on the schrader valve on the the fuel rail, there was barely any pressure, what could be the cause of this?? any ideas Thanks

Fuel filter? If it coughs off the starting fluid, you know for sure right that there is no fuel getting to the injectors. I would start simple and check the filter first, and see if that dosen't solve anything.

Goddamn you replied fast. You checked that you have spark right?

I would also look into the ASD relay. It's somewhat of a common thing. That relay controls the power going to the coil pack, injectors, and fuel pump. Here's something that might help you out a bit, if you haven't found it already.

Might. I'm really thinking its the ASD relay though.

Yeah, I have heard that those can go bad, I have also heard it could be cam and cranks sensor, I just need to narrow it down, I'm tired of throwing money at this thing, and nothing seems to help

check all the wires for melts

you can try the crank sensor first if you are buying one. The car can start without a cam sensor< but not advicable.. I'm going with the relay too, or it's the computer (assuming u have good spark)

CLUTCH

Well the relays didn't help, there is still barely any pressure in the fuel line after the pump primes.

If there is no pressure in the lines, then the fuel pump is bad.

I just want to make sure that nothing else would cause there to be no pressure in the lines, like if the pcm isn't gettting a signal from either the cam or crank sensors

The ECU doesn't have any idea what the fuel pressure is.
