#118996, "A/C Compressor Clutch not kicking in."

Ive search the forums to find a answer already and nothing
I checked all my fuses in the fuse box and the big fuse box under the hood
My ac light on the dash on the button is lighting up but the clutch isnt kicking in. I took the ac plug off the compressor and uses a tester to see if it was getting any kind of power and the harness wasnt So i ran a 12v wire from the battery to the ac compressor and the clutch kicks in a blows cold air. So now i have to either figure out how to jump into a wire coming from the cab to the ac to tell the computer to turn the ac on or run it from a new switch in the cab
;< [br />any ideas?
And also anyone can link me to a cpu plug layout?

Check your low pressure switch, it may be bad.

It's typically on the drier, but I dunno where it is on the 2gnt.

PS,

To test it, you can unplug the harness from the switch and ohm out the switch. If it has a lot of resistance (probably the case), try shorting the leads on the harness and see if the compressor kicks on. If it does, there you go.

There are several sensors that prevent the A/C clutch from engaging when it is not supposed to.

For one, if the pressure switch reports over or under pressure conditions the A/C ECU will not allow the compressor to run. Are you sure there is enough freon in the system to engage the low pressure switch?

If you force the compressor to turn on with a bypass wire, like you suggest, you may fry the compressor.
