Well i was on my way back from my girlfriends tonight and i got about 1/4 mile down the road and the car started hesitating and when i mashed on the gas a little it almost fell on its face, then when i was coasting to somewhere i could pull off with a little light nearby the CEL began to flash which i learned was catalyst damaging so i turned it off checked spark plug wires and vacuum hose for FMU and just looked it over looked for leaks or anything.Well its hard to use a phone as a flash light and have no tools on you.The CEL is still illuminated btw, so i let it cool down and got it back to my girlfriends.I pressure washed the engine earlier today but i drove probabally 60 miles before it happened.Im going back down there 2morrow with some hand tools and a scan tool and see what i can come up with.Its turboed btw HRC stage 2 so i'm thinking the 12:1's high fuel pressures caused an injector to go bad and is making a cylinder run lean?You guys have any ideas?Pump still made noise and i couldnt see any fuel leaks. Perhaps, but the CEL flashes when you have an active misfire. Let me guess, car sounded like some kind of POS Harley Davidson with brain damage? Idled really bad, but got worse when you tried to give it some gas?

You got water in the spark plug wells. Once the engine got hot enough, the water began to boil, bubbling up into the spark plug wires, which resulted in the spark being shorted to the head. That's what causes the misfire.
Make sure you get all the water out of those wells. Blow it out with air, soak it up with paper towels, whatever, but make sure those guys are bone dry.

I drove maybe 15 miles somewhere let the turbo cool turned it off and it stayed off for about 2 hours then we went out to eat 5 miles away let the turbo cool turned it off it was off bout 30.I go back to her house and let the turbo cool its off for an hour and it idled fine it seemed at her house and on the side of the road only about 2000 rpm did it become a noticable miss and hesitate badly, especially when i pulled out under boost before i knew there was a problem.Im gonna check it out tommorrow take some hand tools and my scan tool.If its not somthing as simple as water well i said what i thought it could be, does that sound probabale? Thanks

I use a shop vac with a smaller hose duct taped to the bigger hose to get water out of areas like this.

+1 get the water OUT you might need new plugs and wires by now.

I got up there today and puilled the plugs and they were soaked the wires had hardly any water in them but i got it cleaned out it and runs like a charm now.plugs looked like the a/f was good too not covered in carbon or a burnt white.Thanks for the help guys.
