when my engine was being rebuild, this a$$hole called "friend" talked me into taking my ac off my car. (with friends like that who needs enemies, right?)Once the damage was done i realized what happened. Now my question is, is it possible to put it back, if yes, how much would mitsu dealer rip me off for. thank you (the only thing i have left is ac compressor)

Hopefully, they didnt rip out the Evaporator under the dash..If it's still there, it's not all that hard to obtain all the parts, and bolt it all back up. Look for guys parting out cars, or local junkyards to get the parts. I would use a new filter/dryer though(the round cylinder thing that goes by the passenger wheel well). Once you have it all connected, take it to a shop that does AC work, to have them use the proper tools to do a recharge. The system needs to be put under a vacuum, to get rid of any moisture, and you will prob need a little bit of refrigerant oil added as well. It would be a good idea as well to flush out all the parts before you install them, to make sure there is no dirt/crap in the lines, or the condensor. Places like Autozone sell the flush chemical specifically for this, in a pressureized can, ready to go.

The evaporator should be still in there, unless whoever took all of it out, went through the trouble of removing the entire dash to get the evap out..very unlikely. The two main lines connect to the evaporator at the firewall, so you should see the 2 connections to a aluminum piece that goes right at/through the firewall. This piece at the firewall is the evaporator.
