I have a Sebring LXI which for those of you who know is similar to an eclipse and i am looking for any help i can get on this matter. Basically my headlights wont work when turned on inside the car, but if i ground the relay that controls them the passenger side low/hi beam will turn on and just the drivers side high beam (and no the drivers side low beam is not burnt out) but anyway that along with my radio works then shuts off then turns on then shuts off, same with the cigarette lighter, and the power seat works randomly. Also the interior lights seem to be temperamental. All in all i have been trying to diagnose this problem for about 2 weeks now and its really getting to be a pain.
The thing is this... i had the car at a bodyshop recently and the morons working on it allowed the positive battery terminal to touch the hood, it blew a few fuses all of which have been replaced, and i am assuming that is what is causing these problems. The bodyshop guys are being real idiots about it and refuse to do anything about it i don't have the time or the money to fight with them so I'd like to just get this fixed asap. I have looked over the wiring with test lights, voltmeters, and just about anything else you can guess. I took it to advance auto to test the battery and the alternator both of which are fine. The only thing i have not looked into is the ECU, i heard that it could possibly cause these problems, but id assume it just controls the engine. Can someone shed some light on this for me and offer me ANY help possible? it would be greatly appreciated.

OK well i opened up that pack of wires that runs from the fusebox under the hood to inside the car and found a few problems... apparently water got in there and corroded some wires pretty badly (i was in an accident back in the day that pinched that pack of wires and cut a few) so i cut out the bad stuff and tied them up and soldered them together.. that seems to have partly fixed my issues, im guessing there are more wires there that need fixed so im gonna keep looking at it tomorrow (had to go to work so i couldn't finish today)
but my question is this... after i fix all this crap what can i wrap that pack of wires with that will keep the water out?

OK i got everything working now... all the problems were in that pack of wires going from the fusebox under the hood to inside the car... a bunch of those wires got soaking wet and corroded really badly...
but the one thing i couldnt figure out is my low beam on the drivers side. It would NOT work no matter what i did until i cut the black ground wire and grounded it to the car rather than where its supposed to ground. My question is, where does it normally ground?
