What's up guys. I'm in the process of changing over all of my rubber couplers to silicone ones and wanted to know if anyone can recommend a cheap reliable place. The cheapest place I found so far was www.siliconeintakes.com and it seems pretty good cause they take paypal.

Yep, I ordered about 10 t-clamps. I almost shit my pants when I noticed that the order totalled $160 but I have to get rid of the rubber couplers that are already ripping after only 2 weeks. Now I know what everyone means when they say that turbo'ing a car is not cheap. It's the little things here and there that add up quickly.

Well, it says on thier site you can make your entire intake (minus the hard pipe for the BOV) from Silicone. What do you guys think about that idea? it claims to avoid heatsoak into the intake charge due to silicone being a better insulator, but wouldnt it be risky to make the entire intake out of it?
** Current status: 9 bent valves. and it only had 6,000 miles on it. i hope the replacement goes well. **
Lots of expensive parts, and still slow! Oh wait, it has to run to go fast.

I would stick w/ the hard lines instead of all couplers.
I originally used some cheap couplers and when I pushed 20psi it blow a hole right through the middle. whoops. I thought the engine blew up but it was just a coupler.

Ok i'll go that way then. i dont plan on pushing more than 18 PSI. (PLAN is that keyword lol) so i'll play it safe. What would you think about mabye insulating my hard pipes with an outer silicone layer?
