Anyone on here running a full 3" turbo back exhaust with a Magnaflo 40 series straight through 3" muffler?
If so, is it pretty loud or not so much?
I am on a mission to keep the flow, but look stock and keep the noice levels down as much as possible. Looking for the best option to achieve it.
I tried using a stock 3g muffler which its perfect noise level...keeps a deep tone, but restricts the flow too much. With it I don't get fully spooled until 5k instead of the normal 4k with my full 3 inch turbo back. Just that muffler section keeps me from being fully spooled 1k later.
Cops love to give exhaust tickets here in VA. If it looks aftermarket...ticket....if its too loud even though it looks stock...ticket.

I've got a magnaflow 2.5" on stock piping. no turbo. it's fairly quiet off throttle and smooth part throttle, gets a little loud @ WOT over 3500 rpms

I'm not if you anyone read this, Here goes My last issue of SuperStreet yay lol. There was a comparisonSO of which is the Best Cat. Converter for imports that scores higher than the other leading Aftermarket Cat.Converter.MagnaFlow scored higher than the others. Magnaflow scored High on the CARB Exempt will pass the E-CHECKS for Cali DSM'r or ohter states for the E-checks, This Converter ranked high marks on HP and PERFORMANCE too. MagnaFlow also had the highest HP when tested on a Dyno.
Thought this could help you oout some.
You could use this MagnaFlow catyl. Converter with whatever Cat Back want.
My exhaust will be somewhat OE stock. I'll have Greddy HeadersHRC downpipe MAGNAFLOW Catyl. Converter and a GST /GSX cat back either the N1 style or the Dual oem catback.Not sure if I'll gain any HP but I'm sure this setup will sound nice.
Bud, be easy on your throttle DOn't Stomp on it all the time, you lose gas MPG and yes you would get tickets too/
