#117858, "failed MIL/Check Engine light part of smog check (computer wouldn't link)"

This is a new one for me. Passed everything else on smog, but the guy said that my computer would not link up. I haven't unplugged the battery any time recently, and haven't done anything to the wiring or ECU.

He said to drive it a couple days and bring it back in. Anyone have an idea what to do here? I'm thinking about going to a local autoparts store and get the OBDII reader, and see if it even picks up the car.

BTW, my hydrocarbons at 15MPH was 60PPM (the MAX is 60PPM) -> don't think the O2 sensor is going to save me next time smog comes up.

just checked with the laptop and autoenginuity software. The computer found and hooked up to the car ECU, but would not provide any real-time data when the car was on. No sensor readings, nothing. The mystery continues.

I may actually have to bring my car to satan... emoji

Doh.... that HC level is awfully close. Might be time to replace the cat, or even get the injectors cleaned and flow tested.

I have my datalogger if you need to see if things work.
