Well I blew my 420A a couple weeks ago so I'm going big this winter. I'm getting the howell 2.2 stroker short block, bigger cams, and probably running MS as full stand alone along with a bunch of other stuff.

I was just wondering what size injectors all of you guys are running so I can get an idea of what I might need because I don't want to buy some and then have to get bigger ones right away. I'm really looking forward to getting all this together this winter.

I'll take anyones advice and suggestions on what to get this winter. It'd be great to get some feedback on people that are running these on their 2gnt's already because it will help me immensely this winter with my decisions.

I woudl imagine the stock 235cc shoudl still work for this application. Probably no larger than 270cc. Wait for others to chime in.

Why would you say that? Injector size depends on the goals for the car. MegaSquirt can handle virtually any size injector, and using 270cc/min's would severely limit the potential for performance.

I'm a retard, I did not see that he is planning on going 2.2 with his turbo set up. I though he was staying 2.2 NA....

I would say try some 440cc or RC 550cc to start off with. Also if you haven't upgraded your fuel lines then I would switch to -6 AN s/s hose for the supply and return lines.

lol thanks guys, I know I got feedback on t00nerz but I figured I'd post it here too to get some more feedback. I'll probably go with either 780s or 880s.

It really depends on your goal... Use the MSEFI calc, it works out pretty well. http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/minj.htm 800cc's will put you around of 500 hp (depending, but just be realistic on it. larger injectors are slightly harder to tune/contol for drivability, unless you drop your fuel to like 15 psi, but then you might as well be runnin 440's.

My stroker kit from Howell took 4.5 months and they sent the wrong pistons rings and main bearings.

Its been nearly a year and im still waiting on parts. They initially said 3 months for the 2.2 engine......7 months later I got a phone call. Still have yet to see my motor mounts. Its sad I talk to Gary almost daily.

Well in about 12 hours it will be exactly a year since I ordered my motor. I already filed a complaint with the BBB and everything and still nothing.

Why is it that most of the vendors that actually make something good for our cars are complete douchenozzles that have no concept of good customer service or quick turnaround?

I will never order from Howell, even though I would love a nice stroker. for the amount of money that they charge I would not be willing to wait more than a month, maybe 6 weeks tops.

every time I have built an engine for another application it took less than a month to get all the parts together, have the machine work done AND assemble it, even with custom machined parts.

the next time someone actually recieves a stroker from them they should take all the parts and measure the shit out of the proprietary parts so that the rest of us can take the info to another manufacturer for price and time quotes, maybe get these things somewhere else where customer service and quick turnaround mean something.

I definately agree. I dont know if everyone knows this but Howell doesnt even touch the engine. From what I undersatnd Howell gets all parts and sends them to a machine shop. I wish I could remember where they get their cranks from(I think it was some company in California). So everyone else could buy directly from the manufacturer to save time.

if you paid with a credit card, dispute it. If you don't have the product, and howell won't refund, you'll get the money back most definately. The CC company will just issue a charge-back on howell and you'll have your money. Use the money you get back, and build something yourself. You'll save money that way anyway.
