#11744, "O2 sensor Question"

I know some of you have the Bosch O2 and said that the wires match up exactly two whites a black and a grey.

Well I went and bought it and it has Two blacks, a white and a blue wire.
It also has a blue covering over the wires with some thing that looks like some kind of rubber seal with the wires going through it.

Did they give me the O2 for the sensor after the cat??
Instead of before?

Or if I did get the right one which wires do I connect to what??

Check http://ngksparkplugs.com. Under their NTK o2 sensor tech info, they have a chart with what wires match up to what on their sensors. If you're lucky, maybe it will have your answer. Just from guessing, I'm thiking that the two black are the o2 heater wires which correspond to the two white on our stock wiring. Then maybe the white is the ground, and the blue is the signal wire? Those are VERY strange wire colors though, even if it is for the after cat o2 sensor. I would probably also try to double check by doing a google search on the bosch part number to see if any sites list any info on it. Or look for Bosch's site.

sounds like you got the o-2 sensor after the cat. it has a rubber grommet like that so the wires can go through the floor.

bring it on............

oh i missed that part. You're completely right. It has to be the downstream after cat o2 that they gave you.

The wires on the new sensor is two blacks, a white and a blue one...
It is a bosch

If it has a rubber thing, it's the wrong one. They probably have the wrong part number in their database, so you should go elsewhere. The rubber circle thing is for the downstream o2 because it goes through the floor of the car right under the driver's seat. The upstream one shouldn't have a rubber ring thing.

Ok so someone please tell me which O2 I should get and from where???
I want one that will plug right up to the stock one.
If not one that someone knows which wire to hook up to which wire.
i have been trying to get this forever, and I have to get emissions and tag before Feb. 1st.

some one please help me and tell me what I should get.
All the crap I have been through with buying and taking back and buying a again... I am tempted to just go to the dealer and spend 170 bucks on one.

So someone tell what will work.

Thanks
Mark

Get the NTK o2 sensor from nopi.com. 45 bucks shipped, and it will either plug right in, or you will have to splice it. I had to splice mine because the plug was wrong, but the color match up exactly. Easy and cheap fix. To splice, you'll need some connectors and heat shrink tubing (under 10 bucks total).
