Seems every place i look has the f-ing tranny mount but not the rear.
Advanced auto didn't have it.
Napa didn't have it.
Oriley doesn't have it.
Help me. I need to get my car back up asap.
If i can, i'll just run the tranny mount and get my rear mount welded. I about threw a wrench through my windsheild when i got back from the auto parts stores.

Dealership or junkyard.
FYI, both front and rear roll stopper mounts are on the trans.

Thanks. I realized this after removing the old busted mounts about an hour ago.
Get this:
The reason the mounts failed was because of the mech/retard with down syndrome that installed the clutch for the previous owner.
On the tranny bracket for the rear mount, the bolt closest to the firewall towards the passenger side was missing. That bolt takes the brunt of the force and wasn't there so the stress cracked the other 2 mounting points. WHAT ARE THE SPECS ON THAT BOLT SO I CAN PICK UP ANOTHER? I'll see about getting it welded up, reinforced and re-drilled tomorrow. I hope the shop doesn't try to screw me. I'm now saving for a mig welder b/c i'm sick of needing one and not having it readily available.
For those of you that will be using the search for "motor mounts", an extention or several long extensions with a flex joint on the socket will be your best friend for the rear mount. It only took about 5 minutes to remove.

as i recall all three bolts there are the same. so i'd take one of the bolts to your local indurstial fastener supply place and have them pull ya 3 new ones. when i did it, the 3 new ones together cost less then one new one from lowes.
check the other 2 holes for "Ovaling" of the holes as they were taking the brunt of the load. i wish i could tell you the size but i redrilled and taped mine since they went oval on me.
also switching to a solid front mount (or at least a urathane insert) will help reduce the stresses on the rear as it stabalises the front-back rocking of the engine that happens with the stock mounts.

Thanks a ton.
I also would like to get an engine torque damper and have custom brackets made one of these days since i can't seem to find one for the 2gnt.
I've heard i should go full poly from a bunch of friends. I wanted to 3m window weld all the mounts but i've been advised against it and told it's a crap fix by ALOT of people.

i havent heard of anybody needing a engine damper after upgrading to polys. i run an AFX solid front mount and Prothane others and my engine is VERY stable. only thing possibly better then the prothane are the new Delrin mounts that are out now.

Oh well. If anything it will add that much more stability to the engine and would make for a great conversation piece. I could order poly inserts in the next two weeks but i probably wont. I'm still waiting on a confirmed "i'm selling you this for x dollars" for the mounts i need. I'm trying to work something out with about 6 people now just to get two simple parts. Is it always like this? Lol.

If you don't mind the extra vibration, get the solid front roll stop. I've got it in both my cars (one of them even has a torn up rear roll stop)and it is solid like my co....er, a rock.
