Heres a strange question for you guys. My engine is built and all put back together. The only thing is I have since moved and haven't had a chance to start up the new engine and break it in. The guy who built the motor gave me a suggestion and had me put a little bit of motor oil additive over the cams and head components to help with break in. Since its been sitting almost two months with just that stuff in the engine, should I just add another 3.5-4 quarts of motor oil? I won't be able to start it up for another 3 months at least. I just don't want to let it sit there if that stuff is going to do any damage to a brand new engine.
Basically what I'm asking is..
The engine is brand new and never started. It already has roughly 1 quart of additive sitting in it. It will sit for another 3 months. Will it be alright by itself of should I just fill up the engine with oil and change it in 3 months when I finally get around to starting it.
(Sorry guys. This was really hard to explain. Hopefully it makes sense.)
