what would you guys guess would be the optimal cam timing for a 420a that has a compression ratio of 10.6:1 with no boost? I'm asking because i would like to get some adjustable cam sprockets to see what i can get out of it. after that, i'm going to tackle getta a megasquirt.

IIRC +2* intake and -2* exhaust is safe and is known for making power. best way is to get the car on the dyno and start making passes adjusting a degree at a time one cam at a time

cool, thanks alot. Ultimatly, I will get it to a dyno. I'll make the improvments from their once I get it to one. Basically, the main fag around here who thinks he's the shit is a a guy with a mercury tracer wagon that he put a KLZE into. Basically, nice engine and all, but he's wasting his time on a FWD wagon of all things, something not designed for real corner carving or drag racing. Basically, he has a decent intake and an exhaust and thinks he's the shit. Don't ya just hate people like this?

do you start almost every sentence with 'basically'? I had an Econ professor that did that... we counted 135 times he said it in an hour-session, drove us mad - only reason i noticed!
