Hello everyone i need some information on what parts are needed to update a 95 eclipse gs to a OBD2...parts are not a problem i have a wrecked 99 eclipse that was flipped and came across a 95 chassy with a blown engine.. any help would be greatlyy appreciated... thanks

dont know why you would want to. the 95 scans just like an OBD2 with the obd2 plugs, you just dont get as much info.

At any rate you will need the ECU all harnesses, emissions equipment might be different (some parts are different and some are not). Basically start swapping every harness in the car and all emissions related equipment. 99 is different than every year.

hello thanks for the response so does that mean i can just pull the 99 eclipse motor and plug it right in? or is there anything i need to change? is there anything good or better from the 99 i can change? other than cosmetics?

The motor is the same, as are all the sensors (minus some differences on the harness plugs). The 95 ECU will run the 99 motor just fine.

Yank that beast out of the 99, swap over the 95 fuel rail and any sensors that don't have the same plugs as the 95 engine. drop it in and go!
