First i would like to thank everyone on the site that has helped me out you guys are amazing...

So the other day when i was fixing the huge whole in the coolant hose my dad thought he would help by rearranging the alternator to the fuse cable where the fuse connects it to the battery im assuming. and wile he was ratcheting on it he touched the ratchet to the body and shorted it out..

ever since then my battery light will not go out and the battery will not hold a charge.

i replaced the alternator about six months ago..

any ideas on what i could check before i take the alternator out to go get checked?

i would check your fuses, check the wire he was messing with, and make sure all wires are right on the alternator.

Found the problem...
wire came loos at the alternator... sorry to bug you all
