#115357, "rough idle"

since day one my eclipse has been idling bad. its a 98 RS w/ no mods.
ive tested the tps w/ an ohmeter and it seems to be working. i checked the o2 sensor and thats good too. tried 2 other sensors and it still got the rough idle.
i got a video of it. you can see that when running richer it runs nice, but then the stupid ecu leans it out.

what do the experts think it can be?

Thanks

Vacuum leak of some kind? Check any hoses coming off the intake manifold, the condition of the throttle body gasket, those little rubber plugs on the intake manifold for any vacuum tubes your car does not have.

bad coolant sensor, air bubble in the coolant? that will cause things to idle like shit.

multi, the single is just for the gauge.

is your coolant full at the t-stat housing?

you've gotta burp the system, it'll keep puking into the overflow until you manually burp out the system. do that BEFORE you change the sensor, it's probably the issue.

I didnt watch the vid, but do you have a check engine light on? Did you run codes? Typically if you are around 60- 80k and rough idle it would be an o2 sensor or crank position sensor, usually the o2 though. It could be your timing, but you need to run obd first at auto zone, if you havent
