Just want to make note for future searchers. For those that need to switch out connectors (say if you are 95, 96 and you need to upgrade to a later connector on your coil or your crank position sensor - cps), I'm putting some search words in here.

You can get these connectors off of a DOHC Neon if you like, also (not sure on the VSS connector for the Neon though. Probably different). There are three connectors that are the interchangeable. The VSS (vehicle speed sensor) will apparently fit on the coil (because others have accidentally done this) and the coil will fit on the CPS. This is for the 97 and up vehicles.

So if you upgrade to the flat pin coil (97-99) from the round pin coil (95,96), you can grab any of these connectors off a harness. If you upgrade your CPS to a later one (Satan said that I could not buy an early year CPS. I needed to buy their later one PLUS the connector), you can do the same.

I'm sure that there are other connector switches. I just wanted to put this in for those that are searching.

You can use the VSS connector with a stock Eclipse VSS. You can also use the reverse light switch harness off a Neon. I believe that I pulled mine off a SOHC Neon.

-Bump for usefull info-

My 95 crankshaft position sensor connector wont fit the CPS' AutoZone Kragen or any of these other parts places are trying to sell me, and not one of these places was able to explain to me why.

I sure am going to hate cutting into my wiring harness for splicing though... :\

Because one is round and one is square. (and they changed after the '96 model year).
