Ok so I got my tax rebat check and deposited it today and now I'm ready to order the fuel injectors! I was going to go with the Accel 550cc injectors for the 420A here http://www.cimotorsports.net/motor-sports/fuel-injectors but I must've been reading things wrong because I now see that they only go up to 490cc?

Furthermore I can't find anywhere else that offers FI for the 420a - just the 4g63....you guys get all the breaks! lol Anyways all I want to know is whether or not hte 490cc injectors will be an issue being too small or not given the following fuel upgrades and hp goals....

Walbro HP fuel pump
AEM Adjustable FPR
SS fuel lines (in the future, once I figure out which components I actually need to put it together...)
Megasquirt
Wideband O2 sensor (don't think that one matters but it feels like I'm forgetting something so I'll just throw that in there, lol)

I'm hoping to achieve 300hp with 12-15psi; will 490cc's be more than sufficient for this job?

you'll be pushing it with 490's, unless you bump your base pressure a few pounds. You actually need about 510's if you do the 10% rule (judging from megamanual... http://www.megamanual.com/v22manual/minj.htm)

For like another $50 you can run like holley 50 lb/hr's (525cc, vs 490cc), which you can get from like jegs or summit, that's what I'm runnin. They're just a bit taller so I had to add a spacer washer to the bracket.

Mild port/polish head
3" custom DP/cat section, 3" PIT catback

Just checked both those sights andneither one has 420a-specific injectors so how can I be sure which injectors will fit??

I think they're the 4g63 injectors, you have to wire in a resistor pack and use 420a o-rings but they fit.

I looked at 'em for the longest time, comparing dimensions and elec. specs, and they're practically identical. As long as you get the one's that say high-impedence you're fine. You'll be hard-pressed to find any site that gives '420a specific', just because our engines aren't an aftermarket popular model.

Well I never did get the injectors ordered....but I'm at it again! What about these?
http://www.jegs.com/i/Holley/510/522-5001/10002/-1/746392%7C10299

Will they fit our cars? How is ANYONE supposed to know sicne they don't say what car, much less which model, they were designed for??? Also, I read somewhere during researching this that its best to go with as big of injectors as you can afford to give you room to upgrade your fuel flow later on if you plan to improve the hp even more and in so doing you can simply retard the fuel injectors using a fuel management unit(such as MsNs) so I was wondering if the 65lbs/hr injectors for only $6 more would work nicely? http://www.jegs.com/i/Holley/510/522-6501/10002/-1/746392%7C10299

Seems like an extra 15lbs/hr would be quite a lot but I really have no idea what that transfers to in cc's so maybe its not....

check out racetronix.com. Look at the siemens deka injectors. Those are the ones you want. Siemens actually makes the accell injectors only they are not yellow. I have used the 550cc/min and thye idled beautifully. Spray pattern matched our factory injectors which is an important factor most people dont account for. Now i run a set of the 7XXcc injectors.

They are low impedance above 550 but if your running MS its not a factor.

Dang! Thanks for the info man - those things are not only available in a more usable range of cc's but also they're DIRT CHEAP!

Just one more question which hopefully won't lead to any sub-questions (lol) http://www.racetronix.com/3102FM.html How can I tell if those are the exact ones I need for the 420a or not? I mean is it just a matter of ordering them and if they don't fit installing a washer or what?

You can tell they are the right ones by looking at them. At least I can tell that and I am telling you they are the right ones emoji buy em!

Just remember if you are going to try to run them off the factory ECU they need to be high impdance. if your going to run them off the MS, low imadance is fine. Those are low impedance.
