I never adjusted tension by the tensioner anyway so when it took a shit I just ripped it off and went with the shorter belt.

sorry to bring this thread back but, i just got finished replacing tim's crank pulley. Broke this bolt upon re-assembly. Got pissed. Robbed mine for his car. Upon doing so, i broke MINE. WTF. I was absolutely PISSED. These bolts are made of FUCKING CLAY! I'm going to try this method discussed here and we'll see how it goes. Sorry, just had to share my experience with tim's car.

If you do, You may want to consider a gatorback belt. With the cheap belts i get a little squeel at steering lock, but gatorbacks never make any noise. They'll prolly have to order it. Just ask for a 49" Gatorback belt.
