#11497, "Windows wont defrost!"

My car takes a long time to defrost the windows at like 6:50AM. I left the car running in the driveway for like 10mins and nothing. I had to drive up and down my street with my head sticking out the window for 4 mins. in order to get the defroster to work. I have that little button set to Green and the other knob is in the red. Sorry but I dont know the real names for these. Anyone know whats going on?

PS. My rear defrsoster works perfect.
Also, would it help if my window was up or down?

on mine, i have two options for air control. straight though the car, or recirculated air.

for defrost to work for me, it has to be on the straight through setting, i think to the drivers side. it even says that it will only work with the straight through air control setting below it

the green button is air conditioning, at least mines green.

to defrost the rear, i have a button above or below my hazards button(i aint gettin up).

Do you have an AFX pulley? Ever since I installed mine, 1 year ago, it takes alot longer to defrost the windows...

Just a thought...

By defrosting, ur talking about the windshield ryt? Yeah, I guess it would help if u closed the window, since the cool air outside might be neutralizing ur defroster. Anyway, the green button is the air conditioner controller. Switches ur aircon from fan to airconditioned air. So keep it on when defrosting. Did u remember to put the direction of the air to the windshield position? And u can also experiment with the temperature, since sometimes, the mist on ur window might be due to the hot air that ur breathing which causes it to fog up. If that's the case, switch to cool air. Well, I guess that's it.
