#114897, "any problems with howellautomotive.com?"

I ordered a AF/X UDP from howellautomotive.com on the 26th of this month, it says that it usually ships in 24 hours. When i go to check the order status it says

Order Status-order process on hold.

How long does it usually take? Has there ever been any known disappointmenst with them? Im just a lil anxious lol.

I know a lot of people have had to wait a long time for parts from them. IDK if any of them ever actually didn't receive their products.

These are all several years old, but...

Only complaint ever about Howell is having to wait a long time for parts to get delivered. Aside from that Gary is a great guy and they are always there when you call during buisness hours. if you have a problem with a part you recieved they will do what ever they have to make it right, but again they are really slow in processing orders so....

i bought a coilpack from them. a month or so later it developed a crack in the insulation and electrocuted me. they basically told me to fuck off and that i must've broken it myself.

Call howell and talk to them. They will usually overnight it if it hasn't already been shipped. Best way to get your stuff is to call and bug them... LOL

I've always received the products I have ordered from Howell. I don't usually receive them in a timely manner though. If I need something in a hurry I'll usually get it someplace else, but if I'm not in a hurry to get it then I'll order from Howell.

Gary's a good guy, like they said above, but don't let his Phone operators give you the run-around. I've been told, "it's shipping today", so many times when it wasn't true that you wouldn't believe. You'll get your items, just not right away sometimes.

i dont know why i try and order from them. they are the rudest people ever. dont even know what parts they have shipped, or if they are even shipped, and dont even try getting tracking numbers. who knows where the parts i ordered are. they treat you like your a fucking retard if you call them to ask where your stuff is at. and then they are surprised when you ask if they are going to ship your stuff anytime soon.

i wish we had another supplyer of 420a parts like them, that actually cared.

I just got my money back from these ass-clowns after a month and a half of waiting. I called him today to ask about it, he said "Oh the machine shop is getting new equipment, your part will go in after that" I proceed to ask when that will be, he doesnt know. Ask him further questions, he hangs up on me. Get my mom to call (money was in her account) hangs up on her. Get my DAD to call, hangs up as soon as he says the order. My mom calls back, threatens to file a dispute, call BBB, guy says fuck off, hangs up, and not 3 minutes later I have an Email saying HA sent me $154.84.

Lesson learned, dont buy AF/X UDP from howell automotive. I will NEVER buy anything from them again.

I loled when i read this post.

I ordered a set of Booger Bushings for my Neon two years ago, took TWO months to get them.

Never again will I give ANY money to Howell. Unless they release a 98 ecu and can prove that it will ship that day.

I know this thread is old but I just have to add my piece. I ordered a AF/x UDP from HOWELL AUTOMOTIVE on 4-9-08 (APRIL)and to present date (JULY 31), still have not received it. The first time I called about it (back in May) he said it was shipped last tuesday... sweet. Well I wait another week and its still not here. Call again and said it was back ordered and would not give me a est. date on when it would ship. So I call again, this time talking to the AF/x manufacturing plant manager and he said that their machine shop has been closed down and were unable to make my pulley!! Shitty, cause on the site it says shipped withen 24 hours!!

All in all, if you ABSOLUTELY have to order from them, call first to make sure it is in stock. If not take your business elsewhere from these liars / scammers.
