Does anyone have a Write-Up on how to Remove a Starter from on a 420a? My Roommates 98' GS refuses to Start on, he says Cold Days, but I say Damp Days, and it's not the Fuel Pump or Battery.. Seeing as how it's gonna' be Winter soon.. We need to figure it out. Thanks.

refuses to start as in cranks hard/slow, just clicks, or what? Normally starters have issues with hot areas, not cold. Maybe check all your cables/connections first, that they're clean and tight.

it has to be. if the starter is actually cranking, then the motor is turning over
if what your saying is truly the case then the gear tip where it interfaces with the flex plate is gone. however it would sound like just a "wrrrrrrrrrrr" like any regular spinning electric motor, if it sounds like its trying to start then its not the starter but fuel / spark / fuse / wire / connections

no need to take off manifold...if its still N/A. Its two wires and two bolts to get it off...my little sister could figure out how to take it off in 5 minutes (no insults intended to anyone)
I replaced mine in 20 minutes...without even letting the car cool down

I have a star log manifold with a t3t4, and im still able to remove my starter without taking my manifold and turbo off. I have to pull the starter off from under my car.
