I was bored today and read ASOG.net where they mate the 3.0 6G72 bottom end with the 6G73. Now I know the 6G73 is a very possible swap for us as I seen it done before...a turbocharged built 6G73/72 3.0 v6 w/3 speed neon automatic tranny 2g sounds like a real bad ass drag car, what do you guys think? I think the only problems would be funds for a project like this and clearance as the avenger/sebring engine bay is 2 inches bigger than ours, but in the end it would be a killer 1/4 mile car.

We do the 3.0L swap into the Avenger/Sebring all the time.

It will fit into a 2GNT, you'll have to rewire the engine bay with a computer if you want or run a stand alone.

Using a 3 Speed creates more problems, we are currently doing this mated to a 3.5L in a Sebring. The biggest concern is transmission pump pressure. It has to be linked to Throttle possition.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
