#11292, "Digital Speedometer Wire?"

Alright my girlfriend just came to visit me and she has my christmas present finally (got lost thanks to UPS, they fuckin suck). Anyway does anybody know which wire I need to tap into. I already know the ingnition, ground, and dimmer wires but I know need to find the wire that will read the speed. Anybody happen to know what color wire it is? Also the instructions that came with the gauge say there should be wires coming off your transmission and they said to use that one but can't I just tap into the wire coming from the ECU? I am pretty sure the wire is coming out of the ECU I just don't know what color. Somebody please help I want to hook this thing up ASAP.

There is a speed sensor on the tranny down around near the stock airbox/batterey tray. The wires go to the ECU so you can tap in to it where ever you want to. I am not sure which wire you need because I am at work and I have the manuals on my home computer but if you download the manuals from Darkone's signature you can find which wire you need.

Ya they make them I have one. They are just universal gauges just like any other gauge that autometer would make. I got mine from this place called Nordskog Performance Products. They where the only company I found that made a digital speedometer the is a 2 1/16" size and it reads up to 250 mph. Most companies I found only went to 99 mph. I know I won't go 250 mph but I for sure as hell will go over 99! Works perfectly just put it in last night and it is in perfect agreement with my stock speedo. Stock speedo reads 40 the digital gauge reads 30. I fuckin hate stock gauges they are never right I don't trust them. I know 30 is right because I had a buddy drive next to me telling me his speed and those things that the cops put out that tell you your speed also agree with my shit that its 10 mph off. I can't tell you the price right now I got mine as a gift from my girlfriend, I will see if she will tell me the price.

You have to splice into the speedo wire from the ECU. http://www.2gnt.com/nuke/modules.php?name=Sections&op=viewarticle&artid=64

I know thats the pinouts for a 95, but it shouldn't matter what year the car is - the COLOR should be the same for the speedo wire. Yellow with a white stripe.
