Okay, so heres the deal my power door locks seem to work fine except the drivers side door wont unlock with the remote or the door switches I have to use the key to unlock it. It will lock just fine with the remote and the switch. The passenger side door unlocks and locks with both switch and remote. I bought a drivers side door lock actuator off of stephen and plugged it in to test and make sure that was the problem before I went through the hell of replacing it. Well it didnt unlock either and I doubt they are both bad. So my question is where should I look for the issue? Would my aftermarket alarm be the issue? It was in the car when I got it and I did check out all the wiring and it appears to be fine (I got a wiring diagram for that alarm off the internet) Would a faulty relay cause just the drivers door to not unlock or is it most likely faulty wiring somewhere? Any ideas are welcome.

well either side doesn't have those. but I didn't think that would cause the issue since the passenger doesn't have it and it locks and unlocks just fine.
oh and I found out the hard way that unplugging and plugging the actuator back in reenables the stock alarm. took me 3 hours to figure out I needed to unplug the battery for a few minutes and plug it back in.

Terry, are you talking about the little circular things on the back of the locks?
If so I did not put mine on when I converted to power options.
Mine work fine, including locking both sides if I manually lock the drivers door while pass is unlocked. It wont lock with door open and keys in ignition either
Mine seem to work fine, so maybe a certain year had to have those circle sensors

I dont know. I was reading somewhere that there was a special wire just for unlocking the drivers door that you have to hook up right when you install a aftermarket alarm. I didnt do the installation I believe it was professional. But I also believe the brain of my alarm is fried it wont give any light output and ive checkted the wiring and it also wont give a horn output. so maybe I need to get a new one.

OH, your dealing with an aftermarket alarm? I thought you were talking about the factory one the dealer could install.
In that case Tux, you are correct. aftermarket alarms require an actual relay assy to trigger the correct wires due to our solid state circuitry. Def take it to a aftermarket shop otherwise you are going to be chasing your tail on it.
