Aight did the key dance got....12 31 55 (end code)....12 is that the computer has been reset no big deal....but 31 (Evaporatice purge flow monitor failure (M/T)) what the heck is that? And is it something that i should have looked into?

You can try. Many people have it (mostly 98's), and no one has yet figured out why.

I have a 97 and have that same 31 problem I have no clue what it is and have taken it to the dealer and all they have done is reset the comp. I have noticed that alot of people on 2gnt have this problem maybe we should get some sort of letter going and try to get a recall on this.

That letter idea sounds like a good idea.....what is involed in trying to get a recall started....i looked at some older posts and yall are right i see alot of 31 codes.
