Do you guys like synthetic oil? I have heard it is substantially better than regular oil, but just wondering what the people here use. When it comes time to change the oil on the Lude, I am going to use Valvoline synthetic blend, is this good enough, or should I go completely synthetic? I also bought this engine treatment stuff yesterday, its called Prolong super lubricant, anyone use a similar product? I was told that it will keep the wear and tear down on the engine, hence the name "super lubricant". It also came with some fuel treatment, put that in last night. Even though this car will become my cruising car once I can get a few extra bones to shell out on a go to work car(Pontiac Sunbird maybe?), and then the Lude can be stored for most of the winter. Honda's last forever anywase, but I will do almost anything to keep mine running its best. What do you do to protect your baby?

I use AMSOIL, about $10 a quart, I knoe its expensive but I love it. Lots of people use synthetic and is more recomendable as well.

That stuff works! My frind ran his car from fresno to sac (about 325 miles one way) with less than a quart of oil with no problems.
The prior oil change he added prolong and it probably saved his engine. He did'nt know he was low on oil till he got back from sac and went to change his oil and only avout a quart came out.

definately mobile one tri-synthetic with mobile one filter 5W 30.

I will probably use the complete synthetic oil then. Thats good to here about the Prolong engine treatment, I got it on sale for $10, maybe I should pick up another one for future oil changes. Keep our babies running strong.
