Dont know who has tried this before but i've always heard that just hooking up the solenoid up to the ecu harness even though you have the EGR blockoff kit gets rid of the CEL code.
Well i had nothing better to do and went ahead and tried it...and it WORKS!
Over 500 miles and no CEL code 32 yet

yes you wont see the code for the egr system failure BUT you will see the one for insufficient EGR flow cause the o2 sensor checks for that, just wait a while it will come on

Yes, you WILL get the EGR insufficient flow CEL within time. You will get it when the ECU performs the IAC test. The ecu will close off the IAC and try and open up the EGR valve to compensate and pull in the needed air. The motor will stumble a bit when its not getting that air(since its blocked off), and trips the CEL. If I erase my codes, that particular code will come back at least once a week, up to once every 2 weeks i have noticed. Its also has come on within several days, but its usually longer. As far as i know, all of our ECU's will do this, although i have heard differenly on the 95's. I wish there was a way around this, but so far no luck..

since feburary of 2002 i have had mine just like in the pic i posted ^^^^^. i have only had the EGR trip the CEL 2x. both were after i had been hauling ass around town for 4 or 5 hrs.

I only need to get rid of the CEL long enough to pass emissions
