#11131, "Does AEM CAI really hit fan?"

Does the AEM Cold Air Intake really hit the fan? I heard it does, but not sure. I'm debating between AEM and Injen, I would rather get AEM, but I want to make sure it fits.

So does it hit the fan or anything else? What about the injen?
Any help appreciated.

Thanks a lot
-Jason

I know of at least 3 people who's AEM CAI hits the battery holddown, made a hole in all 3 (mine was one of the 3). Sucks.

All you have to do to fix that problem is to unbolt the battery push it as far away from you intake as you can and bolt it back up. Problem solved it should stay and it shouldn't hit the intake anymore. I had the same problem but I caught it before it made a hole in my intake.

i dont think injen can be better than the aem, but thats just what i heard. it might be better for the turbo models, but not for NA.

yeah, i took my intake off today and there was almost a dent in it from where it hit the battery tie thingy... that and a rub mark from the battery itself...but it still works...
