So im looking for anyone that has the PTFE intake manifold spacer and a 55mm TB. I wanna know what the power band range is with these mods. This is with a 5spd. Other mods include a 20% UDP, 4-1 header with full exhaust.

You could post in the For Sale section, I’m sure someone has a bored 55mm laying around they can sell you for cheap or better yet the junk yards. You will notice some gain in the upper power band but not as much as a 60mm modern performance/jeep TB. Having cooler temps around the IM is always good. If no one has the PTFE in the FS section try SymTech labs, they got a nice PTFE spacer. If you’re ever thinking about turboing your 2g this would be great application for it.

I had plenty of low end when I had my Jeep TB on it, and it was 60mm straight through...

a 60mm TB and a PTFE spacer will make a noticable difference, but it will not be drastic. You may notice a slight increase in midrange and top end.

I was just worried about moving my powerband to far up in the rpm range. I'd like to have the power band start at/around 3-3.5k. I know if i switch out the 4-1 header for a 4-2-1 header it will being the powerband down. Im using N2O so top end isn't really important to me.

Does the intake spacer actually lower the temps on the manifold? I know that the head from the head is going to spread into the intake mani but also the heat from the engine bay is going to heat it up. Has anyone noticed it being significantly cooler to the touch?

wow, I got both the spacer and a 55mm TB with a half shaft mod.
4-1 headers and catback, with a 30% UDP, CAI, 8.5MM wires, SD Coil
yea I felt cooler to the touch IM after driving. the lot of the power is past 3K with the set up I have now : / and yes the PTFE spacer insulates the upper part of the IM pretty well. PTFE is a hell of a material!
