Im trying to tune my EBC, and from posts on here the set setting is ~40%, and the gain is low(10%). what i dont kno is what size spring they are running.

im running a 15 psi spring, so from what ive read in the maunal, i cannot go any lower then 15 psi is that correct?

as of now im at 17% set gain @ 15% warning @ 12% and start boost @ 11psi.

Ive read the manual, as well as some other posts, and i was wondering if my "Set is at 4%(target is 15psi), my warning needs to be ~ 0(-4%less then set), so will this mess any thing up?" and if my set is so low and i keep uping the gain/consistency, will i see a boost spike/surge??

what id like is an 8 psi setting for lo, and a 15 for hi(will go up later) will i need a 8 psi spring?

Yes, your minimum setting will be your spring. So if you want 8psi you need an 8 psi spring. This i might be able to help you with depending on what wastegate you have. shoot me a PM.

As far as your BC. Screw the warning, learn to watch your gauge. When adjusting the BC is second nature then consider using the warning. I still never do. If you want to use it, the warning needs to be higher than your boost setting.

The "set" is your actual boost in percentage.

The GAIN is how rapid or docile the peak boost is achieved and as Greddy puts it "boost consistancy". This setting is the Valves sensitivity. If your getting spikes, bring the GAIN down. If the boost falls off at high rpm's, bring the GAIN up slowly till you get a spike and drop it back down a few %.

The SET GAIN is when the controller will begin to open the valve to start regulating boost. The idea is to keep it very close to your GAIN. This will net the fastest boost response. If you getting boost spikes, the Set GAIN and GAIN are too close.

Now keep in mind, when you adjust one setting, it affects all three so by upping the boost you might have to tweak your GAIN and by adjusting the GAIN you need to tweak the SET GAIN.
