I'm just curious, but I was wondering if anyone knows what a HRC Stage 2 running 5 psi will in a 1/4 mile? Also, I have 16" all weathers on my car and boy do I spin through 2nd and 3rd, traction sucks! Anyone have any recommendations on performance tires? Or will they even help? I plan on upping boost to 7 psi or maybe 8 in a few months. I just want some traction after I shift! Well, tia!

my favorite tires according to their ratings (I haven't actually got a set yet) are Kumho Ecsta Supra 712's... according to their reviews on www.tirerack.com they kick ass and are pretty cheap (about $72 a peice for 205-40R-17's... and most other sizes are around the same price...

and yes... good tires will definatlly help with your wheel spin problem.

Yeah I have the kumhos. Mine are 205/55/ZR16's. Dont get the Z rated tires if you want them to last more than 6 months. I am going to get V rated next time. My Z's are getting bald as shit. I like them though.

About the times....At 5 psi you should be at about a 15 flat. Maybe a hair faster or slower. It depends on the driver and the launch is very important. When you are at the track your speed is what really shows what the car can do. The time is all in the launch. If you can get above 94-95mph at 5 psi that is hella good.

i have bridgestone re730's... 225/45/17... sticky as hell.. except they are so sticky that they wear fast. the slightest alignment problem with Zrated tires is magnified so much... example: toe out problem with stock tires, 5000 miles = no (or VERY VERY little) visible tread problem ... 5000miles toe out with re730's.. insides of rear tires BALD.. as in NO tread left on the insides. i didnt even know i had a problem because the rs-a's showed no problems. as fun as the tires are, i just cant afford to get a new set each year. i may go to cheaper kumhos, i think they are V rated? i need something that can get me 40000miles
