Has anyone had any issues with their Harmonic Balancer? I've read of peoples breaking, cracking, just straight nuking themselves. Like, is there a specific time to have them replaced, like at x amount of miles? Mine right now, the rubber, it looks, is starting to slide out. And the outer pulley (alternator one), looks as though it is wobbling, like its crooked or something. Any comments on this? I know I should probably just replace it, but I dont have $100 right now, and just want to assure myself that I wont have to be taking the bus until I save up $100.

Your probably reading about the issues with the balencer for the 4g63 cars. Ours rarely fails. Besides....buy a underdrive pulley.

our pulley is a press fit with no counter weight or even indexation on the shaft
it can go in any position because it balances absolutely nothing

you can't even call it an harmonic balancer
