#109734, "Exhaust Choice"

Im asking everyone to help me an picking out an exhaust for my 97 gs. It has a new motor and turbo in it and the worst sounding muffler on the planet. Im looking for a deep throaty sound like a V8 or something close to it. Or maybe even something like the new eclipse sound like. Something other than that high pitched popcorn popping sound. I dont really want to spend a whole lot of money on this. Does anyone have a DTM muffler dual tip or a flowmaster on their eclipse?

Tsudo N1
good sound, 3" all the way, very comparable to higher end stuff for less then half.

just DO NOT, repeat DO NOT GET THE GSX one!(unless you want to mod it, in that case ill sell ya mine lol)
the GST one fits like ours with no mods, and you can get one for around 200 ish shiped, so you dont have to worry too much about whether your be droping a bunch on somthing you may not like.

RSR and Espelier are good choices. I think RRE still has a few in stock.

+1
Tsudo N1 is by far the best choice for exhaust hands down; when I was stock it didn’t make that ricer fart can noise like you hear from honduhs, eventho I had the test pipe then. There was a little rasp tho. At idle I get this sickning grow that’s deeper than a wrx with the silencer off and the test pipe with an 4 inch tip; sounds pretty nasty. I have the one for GST. The only thing that sucks is trying to pry the silencer off, but wd-40 and some needle nose will solve that. If you leave the silencer on it pretty much defeats the purpose of having a 3” exhaust. Haven’t got any tickets YET because its deep more so then loud, its only loud when you get up in the RPM band or when the engine is under load. The Tsudo exhaust is one of the best purchases I’ve made thus far.

punch or drill a bunch of holes in the bottom of the stock muffler, makes it sound deeper and it crakels when you let off the gas sounds very cool..
