Does this look correct. I no its beyond dirty. This is mock up before it goes to the machine shop. The pulley seems to line up perfect with the crank pulley.

WTF are you trying to do there?

Use a PT Cruiser lower alternator bracket.

from alain's write up

about the accesories:

alternator you could reuse your own bracket the upper bracket bolts on the 2.4 engine and you cut in half the lower bracket to make it fit on the only available bolt hole on the lower portion of the block you will need longer bolts and washers to install and get the right alignment of the alternator and crank pulleys.

But thanks for the updated info. I will scrap this method for the pt style bracket.

I said could and I did it myself because the lower bracket was backorder when I did the swap

but not the greatest idea in the world emoji

and my install didn't look at all like you I physically cut the bracket with a metal grinder and use plenty of loctite

The PT lower bracket is only about $30, and its much cleaner than that.

Txs I already ordered the pt bracket. I didn't think it looked right. I was gonna cut the extra material off as well, But figured I would wait and see your recommendations first.
