Okay a run down of my situation.
Car has been running pretty hot the last couple of days due to hot weather here. Drove the car on my lunch break to Summit Racing, about 6 miles away, and got some RedLine Water Wetter. Came back, car sat for about 4 hours at our shop, pulled it onto my rack, drained existing coolant, added water wetter and distilled water. let car run for about 30 minutes to burp it self. I did notice it stalled once on its own after about 5 minutes. Restart and okay. Pulled it outside about 5:30, went out at 6 to leave work. Started fine, went down about 1/4 mile down a back way home, came aruond a corner, car stalled, would not start. No spark. Try and extra ASD relay I have in the car, still nothing. Push her into a parking lot. Come back 2 hours later with a cam sensor, crank sensor and a stock ECU since stocker is still controlling my spark and not the MS yet.
Put a cam sensor in first since it was easy to access, car fired up, ran for abotu 20 seconds and then died again. Went to autozone down the road, got a brand new one, and same thing, crank no start.
Now, I did have my oil feed line for my turbo, it was touching the starter wire on the starter and sparked a few times, I figured there should be a fuse to blow there, checked under the hood, no fuses blown? Is there one in the cab that could possibly blow?
Then tried the PCM, and that was a no go, bad PCM to begin with, wouldnt even turn my fuel pump one.
Jacked her up and threw in a crank sensor. Still, No go. Not sure if that sensor was good though or not, but I am pretty sure it was.
Tired an old coil I had laying around, nothing from that.
Made sure I didnt have a broken cam dowel, the exhaust cam is turning the cam sensor target.
Question is, do you think the target itself could be faulty? I have never heard of or seen one go bad before.
On a side note, I can say that last week, I was driving her around town just cruise tuning with meagsquirt, and it stalled and would not restart, sat it for about 15 miunutes and it was fine. Then the next day, the ASD relay went poopy, and then its been fine ever since I swapped out that relay. Like I said above, i put in a new one again today and no go.
Any idea what could be the issue here? I dont think we have our Genesys scannner anymore for imports at my work either
