I have an issue, my car is not getting fuel. It wouldn't start so I replaced the fuel filter and the car started and I drove it for a few miles then it died. It will turn over and try to start, but it can't. I took the line coming out of the filter off and tried to start the car...no gas. Then I took the line off going into the filter and tried to start the car...no gas, only a drip. Then I took the access cover to the fuel pump off and turned the key to the ACC and there is no whine, only a clicking. I bought a brand new pump from Autozone and it did the same clicking thing. I know for a fact the it would whine before when I turned the key. So I figure I got an electrical problem or something with the pump? It must be getting power, but is there a signal to tell it to pump that might be messed up? Where do I go from here? Thanks in advance for your help!

ASL relay on driver's side of the firewall, by clutch resevoir (if you're manual). There's 2 if your manual, the one towards the engine is the fuel pump relay, the other is ignition. If you're auto tranx, there'll be 3, and I'm not sure which is which there, all I know is the blue/white wire is the output to the fuel pump.

FARMY!
Good to see you're still alive and well! (And still sporting the 2GNT!)
I'm going to have to second the guy above me mentioning the fuel pump relay. If you take a meter to it and it test out, then it would point to crank or cam position sensors. You've tested out known good fuel pump and blocked filter, so it's got to be electrical, imo.

Whats up! Glad to see you're still here, and just as helpful as ever. Yeah I still got the 2GNT, 8 years now, I don't drive it as much now though. I haven't really posted in years, but I still browse the board to see whats new.
Thanks for the help too Justin, I will give that a try.
