So I have a 5spd, 420A motor (just for clarification) and I have a slight coolant drip from the line that runs right across the front of the engine right about the headers.
It seems the drip is coming right at where the metal line meets the small rubber hose. I have tried to loosen the clamp and push them back together and it doesn't seem to be helping any, keeping in mind I'm trying to make sure at the same time I don't pull it a part any and dump coolant all over the front of my motor.
Any one have some suggestions as to what i should do SO I DON'T have to drain my coolant and replace the hose but stop the leak, I'm thinking something along the lines of a type pf gasket maker or sealant?
And if there stuff on this somewhere already in the forums, im sorry, but i don't have time to search right now, but i needed to leave for work like 15 mins ago and only have tomorrow morning to get this fixed.

I've had problems w/ that hose more than once. I put the sam type of clamps that the radiator hoses have(only smaller ones) on both of the small hoses and havent had any problems since. You can get them at a local advance auto

Thats funny, mine just busted the other day on the way home. Luckily I was next to a Autozone pulled right in and fixed it. I think it did its job with 162k on the clock.

I hate those things. I have the bloodied hands to prove it. I replaced every snap clamp with a worm clamp in my car, both my mom's cars and my friend's ef civic. I always leave the junkyard with my pockets full of worm clamps. Can't have too many.

I go to the parts store and ask for the bulk packs that they keep in the back for commercial customers. they cost the same as two of the two-packs but you get 10+ per size.
