#108480, "What needs to be done to pull evap canister??"
As anyone else im trying to strip my car of any thing that it doesn't need while i have my engine pulled and i already stripped the a/c and p/s and while i was doing that i wanted to pull the evap canister and the evap solenoid and all that junk. But i hesitated and didn't pull it yet because i wasn't sure what to do with the lines that run back to the tank. Do i block them off, leave them open? Or will it not run right without the evap stuff?

I pulled everything up front and tucked the wires neatly away. All that's left is a single line going back to the fuel tank. I kept the check valve and have it pointing toward the ground. My car doesn't smell of gas and we don't have emissions in Florida.

It's a small gray plastic cylinder with ports on either end and an arrow embossed in its side. I just left it there so vapors can escape but nothing can enter the fuel tank. If you don't mind a little pressure within the tank, you can cap it off completely.
