Hello fellow DSMers, i just have a question regarding my fuel pump. apparently the car needs one, well it does not start..but it sounds as if it ran out of gas.. tank is half-full, now question is, how would know if its the fuel pump, or filter? and how hard it is to change both,Im not a certified mechanic, but i sort of know my way around basic stuff.. also, i tried to pump gas while pressing the clutch , but it just wont start. any tips appreciated and thank you in advance.

I've never seen a fuel filter plug up so completely or so suddenly that the car wouldn't start. I guess that's your answer.
Could also be the fuel pump relay under the hood on the firewall, the Cam angle sensor, or the crank angle sensor.

no.. dont think so.. it just when i turn on the key, it has starting, but it wont start.. it seems that theres no fuel going to the injectors. a few days a go it had the same problem but it will start. so i ignore it, thought it was the cold weather. where is the fuel pump relay located?.
