#108266, "engine install has begun..."

I should have it running by the end of next week. I got the engine and trans in with in 25 minutes which was nice. I need to order a throttle body gasket and some axle clips and I should be good.

Either one of three things will explain this comment:

1. You own a neon.

2. You just smoked some crack.

3. You are just dumb (dont take any offense to it).

Haha. My car does have a chrysler block. I was just kidding about the backwards thing. Man, why you guys gotta take things so damn personal. Did you have any issues lining up the timing with the AEM gears?

Why would it be in backwards. Sorry the picture is off my phone.
The block consists of:
Callies stroker crank
JE 8.6 pistons
Eagle H-beams
High flow oil pump
New bearins
The head:
Crane 14 cams
Crane springs and retainers
Stainless Steal Valves
AEM Cam Gears

I'm going to be running the treadstone kit with a T3/T4 TRE61 turbo and eventually running the super420a as my engine management.

The timing wasn't to bad and I hope I did it right. I had to rotate my intake cam about five degrees to get the timing hole to the top.

Well it's acutally really easy when you aren't putting the ac, power steering, cruise control, or the battery back in the engine bay. It makes everything a lot easier to get to. And put the engine and trans in as a unit. It went in like butter.

You'll have to let us know what you think of the Crane 14's. I have them installed on my car but she still isn't up and running yet. Looks like you'll beat me to it so keep me posted. I'm dying to find if if they were worth the cash. I'm glad the engine install went so well though.

Melted pistons eh?

That'll teach ya to keep an eye on your afr and egt's.

A little bit of swain tech piston coating wouldn'd hurt either since it's only like $26 a piston.......

Goodnight sweetheart...yes its time to go...bum bum bum bum bum...good night sweetheart yes I am one little a$$hole......bum bum bum bum....

I have crane 14's and they are holding at 271 HP @ 11 psi. I have ported head with adjustable cam gears. I haven't needed to adjust the cam gears becausee the cams are already a turbo grind. Built bottom end and fuel only Megasquirt.

The super420a for engine management? Call me old school, but what the hell is the super420a? Never heard of it.

Looks like things are coming along nicely though. Don't listen to haters clowning cell phone pics. A lot of people pay big money for Photoshop so they can make crystal clear pictures looks just like the one you took. emoji

Don't let getting the engine in so easily get your guard down. I just spent two days trouble shooting why an engine wouldn't fire when I left a connector undone on the harness. It's that bitch of a connector under the TB which partially connected the lower rear harness to the rest of things. Part was stuck between the heater hoses, the other under the battery tray. It completely fucking vanished on me. Sucked.
