okay, my head and block were resurfaced so I figured my cams wouldn't line up perfectly. I was doing my cam timing and I did the read on it. I put the crank where it was supposed to be positioned and got the cams lined up with the oil holes facing up on the cams. My question is should I reposition my cam gear/cams so that the oil holes face perfectly up or leave them how they are? My exhaust hole was perfect but my intake hole leans a little inward. I adjusted it so it was facing up and it changed my intake timing about 5 degrees. They both are perfect everytime the crank is turned now. Did I do the right thing?

Yes if you used the holes that are between cylinder one and two. They are not oil holes but you can call them that if its easier. I like to call them indexing holes which they tech are not either.
