i need some ideas on what can be causing an erratic idle with my car. the thing idles up to 2K sometimes and other times it will go up to 1.5K and fluctuate between there and 1K. The problem is intermittent, and it can occur and solve itself during the same ignition cycle. Ive replaced the TPS, IAC, checked for vacuum leaks and have found none, checked the throttle body and cleaned it and the problem still persists. Now my question is this, since i do have a SAFC2 is it possible that its feeding voltage back to the TPS? because when the idle does go high i can watch the voltage reading on the SAFC2 and it says anywhere between 6.5% on up to a rapidly fluctuating voltage of 24-39%. is this a malfunction of the SAFC? or could it be that my computer is shot? id like to figure this out, as its getting to the point where it does it going down the road and makes it buck when the voltage fluctuates around the 40% throttle mark. thanks for the input guys.

Check the wiring on the safc. (or remove it completely for a while) My wiring got "accidentally" crushed under the hood hinge which pierced the wire insulation and shorted out to the frame causing similar issues.
