Ok I had a guy come up to me and asked me if I wanted to buy another eclipse. He said it was a 95 and the ECU was shot. I was wanting to know if I could put a 96 made in oct of 95 in his to see if that is all that is wrong with it.

Thank you for your help.

Won't work. I believe the plugs/pinouts are different between 95 and 96 ECU's.

Nope. Different form factor, harness, and pinout.

You can do a test of sorts to check if its the ECU or not... put the key in the ignition, and turn it... if no check engine light comes on, its one of two things... blown bulb, or dead ECU.

** Current status: 9 bent valves. and it only had 6,000 miles on it. i hope the replacement goes well. **

Lots of expensive parts, and still slow! Oh wait, it has to run to go fast.
