ok, after a rebuild what do you have to do. all the fluids are in, i hooked up all of the wires. the timming looks right and when turning over its sucking air, so its not 180. i changed the crank sensor. WHAT THE HELL COULD IT BE!!!! i have been cranking it and it built up gas and backfired so that means its getting gas and spark.

STOP POSTING MULTIPLE THREADS ABOUT THE SAME THING! I'm leaving this one open because it has the most info, but if you post another thread, I will delete them all.

We're here to help, I understand it's aggravating and you want to figure the problem out, but you can't expect an answer right away, give people time to read the thread and while you're doing that try searching for your answer.

Few common things; VSS and coil connectors have been interchanged by others. There is a main wire harness connection under the intake that some miss. Pull off ALL connections, check, then reconnect (I actually had that one when she wouldn't rev properly after an engine pull. Never found out exactly what it was, but it fixed the problem).

Just a start.

I'd double and triple check your timing, sounds a hell of a lot like it's 180* out, sucking or gulping sounds with backfiring is a HUGE indicator of bad timing

I know you just got it all back together and don't want to tear it apart again, but from my own personal experience the simplest answer is almost always the most likely

you have to remember, the crank rotates 2 times for every 1 turn of the cams, I would take everything apart, turn the engine by hand to halfway between TDC and BDC so you don't harm valves, rotate your cams 180*, turn the engine back (don't keep going the same way) to TDC and readjust timing, I've got $5 that says that'll fix your issue, based on your description of the symptoms.

I don't bet money unless I'm sure I'll win, and I have yet to lose.
