So... Satan wants *$900* to do the 60k service and timing belt replacement on my car.
- Does anyone in SoCal have the tools? I'd much rather rent them from you for a couple days. Make some $$ on em!
- They (Browning Mitsu in Cerritos) said that Mitsu would "help me out" if I ever had a failed engine or tranny, even if I was outside the warranty period. I don't believe it, why would a dealer really swallow $1000 or two just to keep you in your current car?

Wow, it seems like a lot of us here at the board are due for that 60K thing. But 900 over at Cerritos??? Shit, that's a rip-off! I also asked the local Mitsu over here (Costa Mesa Mitsubishi) and they were asking for 660. Either way, still high, but cheaper by at least 200 bucks compared to that over @ Cerritos. But I guess I'm just gonna buy the timing belt from them and the fuel filter and have it done at a local shop. Then change the spark plugs, plug wires, and air filter. I guess that's it. Hey man, if u plan on doing your timing belt, maybe you could help me out too. Or if u hear of a shop that would do it pretty cheap, let me know too. Thanks.
